Ashes, Ashes,
Dust to dust Moths devour, treasures rust.
Ashes, ashes,, Dust to dust.
All things perish, whom shall we trust?
1. Naked came I from the womb,
I shall return the same.
God it is who gives to me,
God it is who takes away
Blessed be God’s name!
2. The full are emptied, hollowed to core
To make room for more.
Those who were empty now overflow,
God lifts up the lowest of the low,
Bless God forevermore!
3. Where is the treasure of your life?
That is where you heart will roam.
Softly and tenderly, Jesus is calling
Earnestly beckoning, calling you & me:
“Repent, turn around, come home.”
(Mt 6:19-21) (Job 1:21) (Hannah-I Sam 2:1-9 & Mary-Luke 1:46-55)
